Morning sightseeing Yangon.
Take a train ride from Yangon to Mandalay, it takes the whole
night of 386 miles distance. The berths are Spartan but clean and
safe. Have a restaurant car and waiters playing across the carriages
to take the orders. The train ride is more for the traveling
experience of the trip. |

Transfer to Hotel for refreshing.
Set out to PyinOoLwin by car.

 |
Early morning set out a sightseeing day trip to
Gok-Hteik Viaduct which is 42 miles by the train ride from PyinOoLwin
railways station.
Gok-Hteik Viaduct is 300 feet high spanning across the
gorge is highlight of this trip. One drawback is, it is not allowed
to take pictures while crossing the bridge. But there are 5 spots to
take the pictures of this great bridge before crossing the bridge and
2 more chances after passing by. At one time it was a highest viaduct
in the world.
Lunch on the train, lunch baskets will be arranged with
the hotel. Disembark the train at Naung-Pein. On the way back from
Gok-Hteik Viaduct by car there is a particular spot where you can
view the great viaduct. Here cameras are not restricted. When
crossing the gorge by train, it is from high up but when return by
car the road is down below the valley by a small bridge. Arrival

Take the 2-hours drive back
to Mandalay for boarding chartered River Cruising Boat. Commence
cruising upstream on River Irrawaddy in the afternoon.

Visit Kyauk-Myaung where Myanmar traditional
potteries are proceed. |

| Day 7: |

Proceed upstream cruising.
Enter the famous and picturesque Third Defile of River
Irrawaddy. Brief stop at Kyar-nyat for exploring Myanmar rural life.
Night stop around Kathar, one major
river port of Irrawaddy. Kathar of colonial time was depicted by
George Orwell in his Burmese Days (1934). |

| Day 8: |

Continue upstream passing Shwe-gu and Kyun-daw
along before passing Second Defile of River Irrawaddy. Irrawaddy
viewed as merely a narrow channel under the shadows of towering
cliffs is mesmerizing, and it is in fact three gorges. |

Arrive Bhamo in the
afternoon. |

Take a flight from Bhamo to
Myitkyina, enjoying aerial view of River Irrawaddy. Transfer
from airport to Hotel. Sightseeing Myitkyina. |

Set out to confluence of two rivulets, Mae-Li-Kha
and Mae-Kha, where River Irrawaddy is formed. Continue sightseeing
Myitkyina. |

Take a fligt from Myitkyina
to Putao. |
 |
Putao is situated on western river bank of Mae-Li-Kha,
one rivulet to become River Irrawaddy. Now the palace is well in the
region of Himalaya eastern extremity and show capped mountains
surrounding around are common view. Visiting to villages of local
tribes of Rawang, Lisu and Shan would be the feature of this tour.

| Day 13: |

Morning, take 9 miles car ride to Hta-wah-dam
village, which is situated on the west bank of Mae-Li-Kha River.
Cross the river by motorized small boat to the east bank. Walking
along the east bank for 1000 meter (5 furlongs) will reach
Kaung-mu-lon Pagoda of Khamti Shan tribe.
Afternoon, take a 14 miles trip to small town of Ma-chan-baw and
along with it Rawang tribe villages can be visited and observed.

Morning sightseeing and visit Bogoke Aung San
